Two ways to satisfy the lecture requirement

Production students must satisfy the lecture requirement before the platform treats that requirement as complete.

Complete an available online lecture

  • Open the assigned lecture course
  • Start or resume saved progress
  • Complete the lecture
  • Take the knowledge quiz
  • Pass the quiz
OR

Document a previous Method 9 lecture

  • Name the prior lecture provider
  • Enter the completion date
  • Upload PDF or image proof
  • Type the student’s legal name
  • Accept the student attestation

The online lecture is more than a video link.

Students can leave and resume, complete the assigned material, open the quiz, see whether they passed, review the lecture, and retry the quiz when necessary.

Passing the quiz gives the student a direct next action toward the certification test. Primary contacts and administrators can see whether the lecture requirement is satisfied instead of chasing screenshots or relying on memory.

Important distinction

Satisfying the lecture requirement does not by itself mean the student is certified or officially eligible to test. Other conditions—including the applicable account, token, equipment, and certification workflow—may still need to be satisfied.

Student path through the online lecture

Open the assigned courseThe student sees the courses available through the training account.
Start or resumeSaved progress allows the student to return without beginning the lecture again.
Complete the lectureThe platform records completion before opening the knowledge-quiz path.
Pass the quizThe result shows the earned score, passing score, and question-level feedback. An unsuccessful attempt can be retried.
Continue to certificationAfter the lecture requirement is satisfied, the student can address any remaining official eligibility requirements.

What counts as proof of a previous lecture?

The student workflow accepts a PDF or common image format showing previous Method 9 training. The student supplies the provider, date, proof file, typed legal name, and attestation.

Proof is required

A statement without an uploaded supporting document does not complete the prior-lecture submission.

The student attests

The submission is a student attestation. It should not be described as independent verification or approval by Opacity Vision or the training organization.

Contacts remain visible

If a student lacks online access and has not satisfied the requirement, the platform can direct the student to an assigned primary contact or training support.

Lecture requirement questions

Is the lecture requirement the same as Method 9 certification?

No. The lecture requirement is one part of the training and certification path. Completing the lecture or documenting prior training does not by itself issue a Method 9 certificate.

Can a student skip the lecture if they previously completed one?

The student can document previous Method 9 training by providing the provider, completion date, proof, legal-name signature, and attestation through the available workflow.

What happens if the student does not pass the quiz?

The platform displays the result and allows the student to retry the quiz.

Can a primary contact see the lecture requirement?

Yes. Authorized primary contacts can open a student’s lecture requirement within their assigned scope and see the relevant status and supporting details.

Continue the certification path

Understand Method 9 certification, compare VR and in-person smoke school, prepare an eligible VR headset, or plan recertification.
